Samantha Blood Count Check (Cats on Tuesday a day late)

Samantha's white blood count is really low. Specifically her Neutrophil count, but there was no fever so they gave me an antibiotic to help with that today. She's dropped over a pound in the last 2 weeks, so now we have an appetite stimulant too ...who'da thunk anyone in MY household would ever need an appetite stimulant!!!!

Poor Samantha! (And poor you!) I hope she is better soon. If you can beat the cancer I'll bet the missing eye won't even bother her.

When I was growing up we had a cat with only three legs that we found that way as a stray. We had him for years and years and then he developed some sort of eye disease and had to have both eyes removed. He was as happy as a clam even with three legs and no eyes. Cats seem to adjust to adversity much better than we humans do.

Please keep us all informed. We'll be thinking of her! (and you).
