She was hoggin' alla the nip, so Dad couldn't get a picture of just me in it. Dad and Mom abandoned us ALL weekend, but they took that Mission-Dawg with them, so it wasn't all bad. Dr. Bill got "clean edges" on her lumpy leg, but he said that she will prolly be lumpy again in about a month, and she might be going to see Cloud Chaser at the Bridge in about six months. She popped her stitches AND the staples that they put in her leg, so she gets to wear this:  She looks pretty dopey, and she knows it. I just sit in my cattree and stay out of the way. She's knockin' into everything, including Dad and Mom! I've been letting Mom pet me while she's standing up and I'm on the bed. I even let her pet me while I was on the floor. She's kinda ok. She's got a soft lap and skritches my ears, so I haven't put the claw whappy on her or growled at her lately ...now Dad, he's still growlworthy. Suzy is tryin' to get into my nip on my Ham-Mick, so I gotta go. I's wishin' you all a happy new year, and purrin' that it's not so hard on all of us furrbabies this year. Today is Mission-Dog's surgery for her mast cell tumor on her leg. Please keep purring that Dr. Bill can get all of the ickies off of her. Labels: Baci, Cats, ManCat Monday Thursday, December 18, 2008 Thankful ThursdayWe's been a little sad lately, as you all can imagine, so we wanted to think about some good things today so we don't get stuck in the sad. Mama thought that Thankful Thursday was the perfect time to do that.We are thankful that: 1.) Cloud Chaser's results came back and the V-E-T's all over the world are going to have a new way to figure out if kitties have sinus cancer. They've never tested the Mandibular Lymph Nodes before and Cloudy's lymph was full of bad cells. Now if there's a cat that is a "Chronic Snuffler" (really, that's exactly what Dr. Bill said!) they can test that lymph node right away to rule out cancer! 2.) Even though Mission-Dog's lump came back positive for Mast Cell Cancer, Dr. Bill said that they can operate on her on Monday and should be able to get it all out. 3.) We adopted a Squillion in memory of Cloudy and named him Starshine because now he can see clearly.  4.) The wonderful Creek Cats gave us this Lemonade Award!  The Lemonade Award is given to sites which the giver show either great attitude and or gratitude. The rules for these awards are:
1. Put the logo on your blog. - Mama is workin' on this. 5.) Diamond made Bebe this AWESOME graphic for last weeks TT!  Thank you so much, Diamond! Bebe loves it! 6.) Baci is now a member of the M-Cats club! 7.) We've been getting wonderful cards and notes in the mail from so furry many kitties and beans. Thank you all so much! 8.) As much as we miss them when they're out, we're thankful that Mama & Daddy are still Day Hunting. That means that, not only can they take good care of us, but they can help other kitties a little bit too. 9.) We gots our Ham-Micks! Now Mama just has to MAKE them so we can start lounging! There's more ...Each time we thought of one another one popped up. We're so thankful for all of the cats and beans ...even the woofies and buns and other critters on the CB. You've all welcomed us into the CB with open paws and hearts and for that, and so much else, we thank you all. Luv, the Cafe Cats (Sara, Bebe, Baci, Suzy and Iago) pee. ess. Thanks so much to the Creek Cats for a wonderful Secret Paw package!Ma got home late (again) last night and opened up our present that she had in the big shiny moving machine ALL DAY LONG!  All of the cats there signed the card and they sent the COOLEST STUFF EVER! Do you see the Temp-ta-shuns and the NIP?!?  There were TWO of those fevver mousies! And see my long thingy? Ma dunked it in the nip that they sent and WoWiE was that pawsome! There are two of those too and Bebe was playin' with that one. I drooled all over mine so she'd know that she has to have the other one.  There was a buzzy mouse too, and Iago's favorite thing ever! A bell ball! He batted it ALL NIGHT LONG! Ok, it was like 20 minutes before he had played himself out so hard that he fell asleep, but he LOVES it!  He and I had to have a little discussion about sharing. Like the fact that I wasn't going to. He figured it out pretty quickly and went back to the bell ball and the fevver mousie. Check out my super speedy whappity paw action! Dad and Mom were here a lot (Mom's lease hasn't run out yet, so they still have 2 apartments) and Suzy and I got lots of snuggle time. Mom made the kitchen smell good all day yesterday, but she wouldn't give me anything! I know that there was butter up on that counter, because I was able to reach and get a tiny amount on my paw, but then she took it away! Then Dad took the trash outside! I don't know what we've done to be punished like this, but it's just not fair. Just to get back at them I've been telepathically training Iago in all things Mancat. He's almost snuck past Dad and Mom to get outside 3 times so far and once he made it all the way down to the porch. I'm so proud! He's also getting the bitey on Bebe's neck just like I do to Suzy. Once we all live together I'll be able to teach him more, but he's doing pretty well with the telepathic signal so far. Next is how to climb up really really high and swipe at Dad & Mom's heads! Seems she found something that we "had to have." Yeah, really funny, Ma. Ho Ho Ho  Mama-Ann here. On a serious note, We can't thank you all enough for your tributes, notes, purrs, prayers, white light and sympathy over Cloud Chaser's passing. The Catmunnity lost 3 brave and caring fellas on Wednesday, and our hearts go out to Skeeter's TBT, Ayla and LC and Kelly's Family. Please keep purring and visiting the sick and challenged kitties in the Cat Blogosphere. Your support means so very very much to the families. More than you could ever imagine. Thank you all for making this difficult time a little brighter. He showed us the x-rays and the mass had completely filled his sinus cavity and cracked the top of his skull and upper plate of his mouth. He said that we could take him home with heavy pain meds, but Randy-Daddy didn't want him to go through that kind of pain just to keep him with us for a few more days. We let Dr. Bill keep him, like I did with Samantha, so that they could study him and try to help other kitties who get sick.  Thank you for all of your purrs and good thoughts. Ann p.s. Cloud Chaser - Wordy Wednesday - Please PurrI'm going over to visit Dr. Bill today. He's going to flush out my nose and then put glow in the dark stuff in my sinuses and see if the fungus has gone into my Central Nervous System. I got good snuggles from Mom & Dad last night and purred all night long. Please purr that the pitures show that I'm just clumsy and that's why I've been stumbling a little bit lately. Iago is being a pain. He's going to Dr. Bill's today too for his snips. I was helpin' hims wif his workies when he was sick last week.  Mama said that Cloudy and I get to go and see Dr. Bill on Wednesday. They is gonna take pitures of Cloudy's head with some glow in the dark stuff. The pitures will tell Dr. Bill if the fun-gus has gone to his nervies. I think a fun-gus would be great to play wif, and Cloudy says that I'm always getting on his nervies, so I don't know why they need pitures. Mama said that I'll be closer to being a Man Cat after I see Dr. Bill! I gets to go early because I such a big boy and already over 4 pounds! Mama keeps saying something about snippy and every time she does, Daddy makes a face. I don't know what she means, but if it means that I's closer to being MAN CAT then I go! Dad brought in another box but didn't let us play in it. They didn't bring Cloud Chaser back either, but they didn't seem sad so I think he's still at Mom's house. I'm a 10 year old Ginger named Baci that loves to rub up against people ...until they try to pet me. Then I get pretty whappy. I actually left one of my claws in Mom one time. I don't like feet at all. Dad can snuggle me, but only for so long and I'll let Mom pet me but only if we're in bed and I can knead her hair. Oh look! You can see Daddy in my picture! I'm Suzy and I'm a 7 year old tabby and I love EVERYONE! Well, once I stop hiding and realize that people will pet me. I love love love snuggles, even from Baci. I miss Cloud Chaser but he smelled funny right before he went to Mom's house. I hope he smells better when he comes home to our new house. There are lots of good hidey spots here, but I really like the bathroom cabinet and under the bed.Mom said that she'll get better pictures of us soon with the big flashybox instead of just with the phone. Maybe I'll even get to be on Tummy Day!
