Thursday, December 18, 2008 Thankful ThursdayWe's been a little sad lately, as you all can imagine, so we wanted to think about some good things today so we don't get stuck in the sad. Mama thought that Thankful Thursday was the perfect time to do that.We are thankful that: 1.) Cloud Chaser's results came back and the V-E-T's all over the world are going to have a new way to figure out if kitties have sinus cancer. They've never tested the Mandibular Lymph Nodes before and Cloudy's lymph was full of bad cells. Now if there's a cat that is a "Chronic Snuffler" (really, that's exactly what Dr. Bill said!) they can test that lymph node right away to rule out cancer! 2.) Even though Mission-Dog's lump came back positive for Mast Cell Cancer, Dr. Bill said that they can operate on her on Monday and should be able to get it all out. 3.) We adopted a Squillion in memory of Cloudy and named him Starshine because now he can see clearly. 4.) The wonderful Creek Cats gave us this Lemonade Award! The Lemonade Award is given to sites which the giver show either great attitude and or gratitude. The rules for these awards are:
1. Put the logo on your blog. - Mama is workin' on this. 5.) Diamond made Bebe this AWESOME graphic for last weeks TT! Thank you so much, Diamond! Bebe loves it! 6.) Baci is now a member of the M-Cats club! 7.) We've been getting wonderful cards and notes in the mail from so furry many kitties and beans. Thank you all so much! 8.) As much as we miss them when they're out, we're thankful that Mama & Daddy are still Day Hunting. That means that, not only can they take good care of us, but they can help other kitties a little bit too. 9.) We gots our Ham-Micks! Now Mama just has to MAKE them so we can start lounging! There's more ...Each time we thought of one another one popped up. We're so thankful for all of the cats and beans ...even the woofies and buns and other critters on the CB. You've all welcomed us into the CB with open paws and hearts and for that, and so much else, we thank you all. Luv, the Cafe Cats (Sara, Bebe, Baci, Suzy and Iago) pee. ess. Those are all wonderful things to be thankful for! By Maggie May, at 12/18/2008 7:40 PM It makes me feel so proud of Cloud Chaser that he can help other kitties, even though he had to go to the Bridge. By Daisy, at 12/19/2008 11:08 AM
Starshine was a wonderful name - for a wonderful reason. By Parker, at 12/19/2008 11:33 AM
It is furry good to focus on the good things. The sad things don't disappear - like Mission's diagnose - but things stay the same anyway. Your pawsitivity can see you through... We're keeping our paws crossed for Mission's OP on Monday. It is good news that Cloud Chaser contributed so much for the possibility of healing other kitties! By Cat with a Garden, at 12/19/2008 4:58 PM That is a wonderful list of things to be thankful for! Thanks for coming by to visit me! By Sweet Purrfections, at 12/19/2008 8:46 PM
We've been catching up on all your news and we're sorry about your loss ... Cloud Chaser was speshull and gorjuss ... but we're happy dat you can still have fun and remember the good times. Star shine is a lovely name - 'cos now when you look into the night sky it will remind you dat dear little Cloud Chaser is a twinkling star shining down on you from da Rainbow Bridge.

These are all very good things to be thankful for. It's wonderful that vets around the world will now have a new way of testing for sinus cancer (that's a very big thing to achieve - new testing protocols are SO badly needed) Can you ask your vets to send their new test info to The Feline Advisory Bureau in the UK? - they are a huge veterinary resource and need to stay up to date on all new things. Thanks to brave Cloud Chaser for leaving behind a legacy that can help kitties and doggies everywhere. We understand your sadness, but we also understand that life goes on...Sending big purrs and purrayers to Mission for his operation, 'cos we want it to go smoothly with no complications...
